Student trip

On September 17-18th, the laboratory members went to Nesta Resort Kobe in Hyogo as a student trip. They were able to experience many outdoor activities such as canoeing, off-road buggy, and athletics. Dinner was a barbecue under the starry sky. Graduation ceremony

On September 24th, the fall graduation ceremony was held at the Clock Tower Centennial Hall. From our laboratory, six international students (International Energy Science Course) were awarded one doctoral and five master degrees. Farewell party

A farewell party was held for five master course students and one doctor course student on 27 August in a sushi restaurant, Sushitetsu. Congratulations on completing the masters and doctoral programs!

Welcome party

A welcome party was held at the backyard of research building No.11, after the seminar on 15 April. In this year, four master course students and one undergraduate student joined our laboratory. Pizza, takoyaki, sushi, salad, etc. We took a cute picture of Prof. Kawamoto with cat ears and whiskers.  Welcome for all new students and let’s enjoy the laboratory life together.

Annual Meeting of JWRS in 2019

The 69th Annual Meeting of The Japan Wood Research Society was held at Hakodate on 14-16 March. We had 6 oral presentations and 2 poster presentations. The programme is available in the official site. Zhao Yuanyuan (D1) and Daiki Bito (M2) of our laboratory won the oral presentation award and poster award, respectively. Congratulations!
